ITSO Card Printing and Encoding Equipment

Overview

This Framework Lot is for the provision of locally hosted equipment to enable ITSO Smartcards to be printed and encoded within a SAM Members own office, or that of their agent.

This Framework Lot makes available equipment capable of printing full colour on both sides of an ITSO or Non ITSO Smartcard, and be able to encode the full range of ITSO products on a card, as well as additional product and card applications.

Suppliers are fully able to integrate with a range of customer CMS systems to receive and process customer data, such as concessionary travel data, as well as being able to integrate with multiple ITSO HOPS systems to pass on the created card information.

This Framework Lot provides a number of ITSO Card Printing and Encoding Equipment Suppliers, with the necessary support peripherals and consumables, as well as additional services where they add value, to enable the Users of the Framework to have a wide choice of supply options.

Who Should Use This Lot

This Lot is suitable for, but not limited to:

  • Local Authorities, Combined Authorities, Regional Transport Bodies, National Governments or Other Public Sector Bodies wishing to procure ITSO Card Printing and Encoding Equipment and Support Services;

  • Any Transport Operator wishing to buy ITSO Card Printing and Encoding Equipment and Support Services.

The Guidance Notes are designed to assist and inform a SAM Member on all aspects of undertaking a call-off from the Framework, including:

  • Scoping a Member's own requirements;

  • Identifying the most suitable Supplier(s) to meet these requirements;

  • Preparing the Call-Off Order;

  • The process for undertaking a Further-Competition (if one is required); and

  • The costs for using the Framework.
