Consultancy Services, ITSO, Ticketing and Revenue

Overview

This Framework Lot enables the provision of Consultancy Support Services for ITSO and Wider Transport Ticketing including Payment Systems.

It covers a wide range of expertise in the field of smart ticketing, ITSO ticketing and revenue services from technical development to governance. It supports the provision of support for project project management as well as that of a critical friend. Within the Lot, Consultancy services are divided in to three specialist areas:

  • Part 1 = Transport Ticketing Management Policy;

  • Part 2 = Transport Ticketing Technical & Revenue Scheme Delivery; and

  • Part 3 = Transport Ticketing Governance, Research and Competitive Bidding Services.

Suppliers on the Framework were able to specialise in any one or multiple of these areas.

It has been devised to enable Suppliers to offer multiple staff across multiple grades to meet a Members need, all of whom are committed to partnership working, including with other consultants.

Who Should Use This Lot

This Lot is suitable for, but not limited to:

  • Local Authorities, Combined Authorities, Regional Transport Bodies, National Governments or Other Public Sector Bodies wishing to procure ITSO, Wider Ticketing and Revenue/Payment related Consultancy Services;

  • Any Transport Operator wishing to buy ITSO, Wider Ticketing and Revenue/Payment related Consultancy Services.

The Guidance Notes are designed to assist and inform a SAM Member on all aspects of undertaking a call-off from the Framework, including:

  • Scoping a Member's own requirements;

  • Identifying the most suitable Supplier(s) to meet these requirements;

  • Preparing the Call-Off Order;

  • The process for undertaking a Further-Competition (if one is required); and

  • The costs for using the Framework.

There are six Consultants available under this Lot.
